Brush Traction Group's business strategy is centred around its capability and competencies in the field of Engineering expertise, coupled with a skilled workforce with a vast experience of both traction and rolling stock manufacture, and overhauls and repairs to components in its well equipped modern facilities.
Brush Traction is moving towards being a fully self-sufficient supplier in the area of component overhauls with investment having been made in the facility in which Traction Motors are overhauled. With further investment in the capability to undertake armature rewinds planned for later this year, this would mean Brush Traction would not be reliant on sub-suppliers for these operations.
Brush Traction has an aspiration to become the supplier of choice for the overhaul of electrical rotating machines, and as such has an objective to work with the Rail Industry to improve reliability and running costs of such components. By utilising the experience and knowledge of its Engineers and Engineering department by understanding the needs and demands of the Train Operators and owners through working in partnership with them as it has done with other owners and operators on previous successful projects such as the re-powering of the HST Power Cars where a joint working party undertook to assess, develop solutions and execute the project.
